Philippine Basketball National Team Gilas Pilipinas misses the chance to play against Spain as they were defeated by Congo 71-82.  This will be the first defeat of Gilas in their tune up game for their preparation for the 2019 FIBA World Cup.

Gilas give their best in the early quarters but they were outscored in the fourth quarter which leads to Congo victory.

Import Andre Blance scored 15 in the game followed by Robert Bolick 21.

According to previous report Gilas was having a hard time practicing due to hectic schedules of every player and sometimes when they practice the roster was not complete.

Coach Yeng noted they will overcome any obstacle and do their best to perform well in the upcoming world event.

The said team was saddened to miss the opportunity to play against the no.2 team in the world but they remain positive and embrace the challenge.
