A monk from Myanmar (Burma) who testify after he came back to life that he saw Buddha burning in hell. And now, he is a changed man.

His name was Athet Pyan Shinthaw Paulu. Paulu was sent to Buddhist monastery at the age of 18 to be a novice monk. Before entering the monastery, Paulu is a fisherman, at 17 he and his friends went fishing and caught a large number of fish on their fishnet. Due to a large number of fish, a hungry crocodile followed their boat and tried to attack them. They were so terrified and quickly rowed their boat towards a nearby riverbank as fast as they could.

And eventually, the crocodile smashed the boat with its tail. Luckily, no one gets hurt. He said the attack greatly affected his life and its he went to the Buddhist monastery. At the monastery, Paulu striving to be the best monk and will not harm any living being. Later on he was recognize by the monastery as the most famous Buddhist in Myanmar.

Until, he got very sick. After discharging from the hospital he was attended by the monks in the monastery. But however he grew weaker and weaker until died for three days.

During his death, he remembers that his mind and spirit is fully alert. Paulu remembers that he was in a very, bizarre storm. He can see as the wind blows the trees cut off and landscape are fully plain because of the storm. There was no people around and just only him. Until he crossed from a river and beside it he saw the lake of fire.

At first he didn’t recognize it was hell until he saw Yama, Yama is described as the king of hell in Buddhism. He was told by Yama to look in the lake of fire, he saw a saffron colored robes that the monks are wearing, he saw the man with bald head until he recognize that it was U Zadila Kyar Ni Kan Sayadaw (a famous monk who died in a car accident in 1983). He asks Yama why he was in the lake of fire though he was a very good teacher and a good monk. His mind baffles when Yama told him that “Yes, he was a good monk indeed, but he did not believe to Jesus Christ.

A vision that thoroughly changed his life when he was told by Yama to look to another person. He described him as a very long hair wrapped on the left hand side of his head. A robe also he was wearing. He asks the king of hell, who is this man? He replied “This is the one you worshiped. Gautama (Buddha). He was shocked, he then ask Yama why is he in the lake of fire? Paulu protested that Gautama had good ethnics and good moral character. Then the king of hell replied, “It doesn’t matter how good he was. He is here because he did not believe in the Eternal God. He also saw Goliath there and Aung San- Myanmar’s revolutionary leader.

As Paulu came back to life, He explained everything what he saw, what he heard step by step. His parents, friends and the monastery were astonished that Buddhist believers will go to hell if they continue to worship Gautama and don’t believe in Jesus Christ.
