Commission on Elections (Comelec) disqualified the Certificate of Candidacy(COC) of Sen.Grace Poe in running the presidential race in 2016 because of the issue that she is not a Natural-Born Filipino. According to the GMA News this Tuesday night December 1,2015 , the Comelec second division have voted if who is in favor to the petition they served. The result was 3-0 which means that the COC of Sen. Grace Poe is invalid.

This news had been seconded by her running mate Sen. Chiz Escudero without giving any additional information.

In the petition that Atty. Elamparo passed to the Comelec, it said that Sen.Poe was not able to live here in the Philippines for 10 years requirement as what it has stated in the Constitution. According to Comelec she failed to live here in a total of 10 years because she started to live here last July 2006 and she have atleast two months to complete it that’s why she is not allowed to run as a president in 2016 elections.
