A prestige beauty pageant Miss Universe has its majestic diamond crown worth $300,000. This year Miss Universe was Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach from Philippines. The crown was produced by renowned Czech Republic company Diamonds International Corporation.

The crown is made up of 311 pieces of diamonds, five pieces of blue topaz, 198 pieces of blue sapphire, 33 pieces of crystal, and gold. And its design is to emulate Manhattan Skyline.

It took four months to make the crown according to the Czech Embassy. The production process involves the combination of the traditional techniques of Czech glass makers and the best jewelers, cutters and polishers from the Czech Republic, which is famous for its jewelry production.

The Czech Republic was very famous for its cut crystal which is more commonly known as Bohemian Crystal, their testament of ageless elegance and beauty. Large traditional Bohemian Crystal chandeliers are displayed at the Reception Hall of Malacañang, welcoming the guests of the President.
