The October 2014 Bar Examination started on Sunday, October 5, 2014 and set to end on October 26, 2014. The examination is conducted every Sundays of this month of October 2014 dated (October 5, 12, 19 & 26.)
According to the administering body, the Supreme Court of the Philippines, there are 6,344 total number of aspiring lawyers will take the “2014 Bar Examination” which was held at the University of Santo Tomas (UST).
Chairman of this year’s Bar Exam, Supreme Court Associate Justice Diosdado Peralta has given two types of examination which are composed of 80% essay questions and 20% multiple choice questions.
The area of examination highlights the following eight subjects: Political and Public International Law, Labor and Social Legislation, Civil law, Taxation, Mercantile Law, Criminal Law, Remedial Law, and Legal and Judicial Ethics.
During the examination days, security measures are being implemented within the vicinity of the UST campus where the examination is being conducted. Streets and sidewalks are being cleared from possible obstructions particularly the areas of Dapitan which is schedule to close between 10:30 to 1 p.m. to ensure the safety of the examinees. Aside from that, Manila traffic authorities will also coordinate to the said activity by implementing re-routing schemes as the exam is going on.
