In celebration of his birthday this year, South Korean celebrity Jin has donated 100 million Korean won, or roughly ₱4 million, to charity. The international celebrity gave back earlier this week by making a donation to the Busan Namgwang Social Welfare Society, according to a report by the South Korean news website Soompi.

On December 4 of last year, Jin turned 33. He is the eldest member of BTS, a boy band from South Korea.

His donation will prioritize child and youth welfare programs and help the less fortunate people of the community. The BTS member’s generosity was verified by the Busan Namgwang Social Welfare Society.

According to Soompi, the 33-year-old South Korean singer’s donation would help the talent-support scholarship program for impoverished youngsters and those aging out of daycare centers.

On social media, fans of the BTS member expressed their pride in their idol for making a charitable donation. Other admirers recalled the South Korean member’s numerous donations to charity.

“Jin always shows his heart where it matters most. Small gestures for him, life-changing support for so many others,” On X (previously Twitter), a fan wrote.

“What a great birthday gift! So proud of you my Jinnie! Happy Birthday my love!” An additional fan added.

Jin gained recognition for her contributions to a number of causes, such as the Korea Animal Welfare Association and Unicef. The South Korean boy group’s members have been well-documented on social media and have contributed to the causes of their choice over the years.

Earlier this year, Jin released his second solo album, Echo, which has been favorably received by his millions of global admirers. Jungkook and J-Hope were surprise guests at one of his past encore concerts in South Korea.

Jin’s charitable efforts are not unique to him. Millions have been contributed by BTS collectively to disaster relief, mental health, and education. In collaboration with UNICEF, their international campaign, Love Myself, has generated millions of dollars to fight violence against children and adolescents.

Jin’s most recent contribution solidifies his reputation as a talented artist and kind humanitarian.
