Architect Board Exam Excellence: Recognizing Top Performers and Outstanding Schools (January 2024)


In the upcoming announcement by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), the spotlight will not only be on individual achievements but also on recognizing the top-performing schools in the January 2024 Architect Board Exam or Architect Licensure Examination (ALE). This significant recognition adds a layer of importance to the broader landscape of architectural education, showcasing institutions that have excelled in preparing their students for the rigorous licensure examination. The PRC is anticipated to unveil this valuable information on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, or within three working days following the conclusion of the exam.

Conducted by the PRC in collaboration with the Board of Architecture (BoA), the licensure exam was administered in multiple key locations, including Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga. The geographical diversity of the exam venues reflects the comprehensive reach and inclusivity of the evaluation process. As the results are eagerly awaited, they will not only celebrate individual success but also contribute to the continuous enhancement of architectural education across various regions.

The top-performing schools in the January 2024 Architect Licensure Examination as per Commission Resolution No. 2017-1058 (C) series of 2017: WITH 50 OR MORE EXAMINEES AND WITH AT LEAST 80% PASSING PERCENTAGE


Here’s the performance of schools in the January 2024 Architect Licensure Examination in alphabetical order as per R.A. 8981 otherwise known as PRC Modernization Act of 2000 Section 7(m) “To monitor the performance of schools in licensure examinations and publish the results thereof in a newspaper of national circulation”:


The impending revelation of top-performing schools serves as a benchmark for academic excellence, fostering healthy competition and driving continuous improvement within the educational institutions that play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the architectural profession in the Philippines.


The comprehensive two-day examination encompassed a range of subjects, including history and theory of architecture, principle of planning and architecture practice, utilities systems, structural conceptualization, and building materials and construction (Day 1). The second day of the exam focused on architectural design and site planning.


Following PRC Resolution No. 1728 s. 2023, the expected release date for the Architect board exam results is Wednesday, January 31, 2024, or within three (3) working days post-examination. It’s important to note that results may be released earlier or later than the target date without prior notice.
