The state weather bureau PAGASA announced that a low-pressure area’s trough will bring rain to areas of Visayas and Mindanao.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration issued the most recent weather report in the country on Friday, February 17, 2023. The weather conditions in the country will be affected by the trough of a low-pressure area and the northeast monsoon.
The Low Pressure Area (LPA) was assessed to be 765 kilometers east southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur, according to PAGASA. The northeast monsoon will have an effect on Luzon and Visayas.
Throughout Eastern Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Davao Region, and Bohol, the LPA’s trough will bring cloudy weather with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.
Amihan will bring similar weather conditions to the Cagayan Valley, the Cordillera Administrative Region, the Bicol Region, Aurora, and the Quezon.
Across Metro Manila, the whole of Mindanao, and the rest of the country, localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy sky with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
