The mother of Herlene Nicole “Hipon Girl” Budol publicly expressed her disappointment with the outcome of Miss Pilipinas 2022.

Herlene Nicole Budol, better known by her stage name “Hipon,” is a comedian, actress, and former “Wowowin” Television host.

Herlene acknowledged that when Wilbert Tolentino became her manager, her life was completely changed.

Herlene’s preparedness for Binibining Pilipinas 2022 was greatly aided by him.

Despite Herlene being first runner-up, their team is still hoping to win a major award.

In an interview with Joee Guilas of The Thrillmaker, Herlene’s mother, Len Timbol, said, “Para po sa akin ang anak ko ang winner pero okay naman po at panalo rin.”

She applauded and complimented her daughter’s performance, calling it “super.” She even stated that the question and her answer were excellent for her and that she deserved to win.

She was also questioned over Herlene’s perceived shortcomings.

“Sa palagay ko po wala kasi binigay pong lahat ni Hipon. Ginawa po niyang lahat. Perfect! Hindi naman alam kung bakit ganun ang naging resulta. Anyway, masaya naman po kami para sa kanya. Hindi kami umuwing luhaan,” Herlene’s mother explained.

“Para sa akin, ‘yung pinakabonggang performance is yung sa swimsuit po. Talagang napakagaling po niyang rumampa, ‘yung walk niya sobrang ganda. Medyo disappointed inaasahan naming siya ang best in swimsuit pero iba po ‘yung in-announce. Pero it’s ok lang po, laban ‘yan e,” she added.
