President Rodrigo Roa Duterte emphasized that he did his best as President of the Philippines and apologized for any shortcomings. Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte and his government are nearing the conclusion of their mandate. His government concentrated on combating corruption and illegal drugs in the country.

During his campaign in 2016, the 77-year-old President vowed to stop the spread of drugs in six (6) months. He did, however, confess that he may have underestimated the size of its influence in the country.

Several drug personalities have been imprisoned during the present administration. Errors by government employees and those connected to corruption were also removed from office or asked to resign.

According to the 77-year-old president, whatever he has done as president is the greatest thing that his work can accomplish. He stated that the tasks he did not complete were not due to his shortcomings, but rather to a lack of time. He emphasized that six years is insufficient time to complete all of his plans.

During his remarks at the opening of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority’s new head office in Pasay City, President Benigno Aquino III said. Rodrigo Roa Duterte emphasized that he did his best as President of the Philippines and apologized for any shortcomings.

The 2022 elections have finished, and the officials are now in the process of counting ballots. The Commission on Elections (Comelec) released the incomplete and unofficial results of the automated election to the public a few hours after most voting locations closed on May 9.
