Nadine Lustre is prepared to restart her Celebrity career without the attention of a love team. “I feel like I’m totally past the love team phase,” Lustre informed the ABS-CBN News. “I do believe that it’s something a lot of celebrities really go through.
“It’s not a bad thing, though. A love team is a partnership. If you’re in a love team, you pull each other up. It’s really team work. Feeling ko I’m already past that. When you reached this age, feeling ko wala ng love team.”
Nadine Lustre, the other half of the JaDine love team, is ready to strike off on her own without her former reel and real boyfriend, James Reid.
At the same time, Lustre’s upcoming ventures will steer clear of love stories. “Alam na ng mga tao kung paano ako sa love stories,” she insisted. “I think it’s time for me to do other genres.” Lustre said, who turned 28 in October. “Whatever happens, I’m open to it,” she acknowledged. “Let’s see what happens. Sobrang na miss ko ang pag-arte. Ibang-iba talaga ang pakiramdam kapag umaarte at iba din ang feeling kapag nagpe-perform ka, kumakanta o sumasayaw.
“Ang na-miss ko talaga sa pag-arte, where you portray a character. I don’t mind doing thriller, action, horror. Scripts that are mind-boggling. Kapag binasa mo talagang mapapa-isip ka.
“Gusto ko psychopath naman ako in my next project. Something different. Para naman exciting siya kung gagawin ko. Para iba din ang pakiramdam kung iba’t ibang characters ang gagawin mo.”
Lustre has acknowledged her respect for Hollywood actor Johnny Depp, who has taken on a variety of hard roles throughout the centuries.
“His range is so wide,” she said of Depp. “It’s something I love to do because I love putting myself into different characters’ shoes.”
