Seunghoon and Eric of the boy bands Winner and The Boyz, respectively, have been diagnosed with the respiratory sickness, according to report issued Monday by the Korean entertainment news portal Soompi.
COVID-19 had infected two more South Korean stars, making them the latest K-pop stars to be infected with the new coronavirus. By contract tracing, the Korean Stars are currently giving some proper sanitizing and keeping them in safe for their own.
In a statement translated into English by Soompi, Seunghoon’s agency YG Entertainment said that Seunghoon originally tested positive using a self-test kit that he used for a “scheduled activity” on every Sunday.
After doing a confirmation PCR test, he tested positive again, YG said, adding that the three other Winner members tested negative for the virus.
“Lee Seunghoon is vaccinated for COVID-19, did not have any symptoms before being diagnosed, and his health is still in good condition currently,” YG stated.
According to IST, the remaining ten members of The Boyz, as well as their team, are waiting for the results of their COVID-19 examinations.
South Korea reported 7,630 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, the second-highest daily number of new coronavirus infections in the country. South Korea is currently sanitizing and taking precautions in order to be ready for the possibility of an upsurge in viruses.
