Many netizens were amazed by the beauty of nature as they saw the viral photos of Mt. Apo. The clouds that formed on top of the Mt. Apo are similar to lenticular clouds.

Lenticular clouds or Altocumulus lenticularis, which means “shaped like lentil” in Latin, mostly form among the crests and valleys of mountainous terrain. They are also a visible sign of mountain waves in the air and may exist even when no clouds are formed. Lenticular clouds are associated to look the same as a lens or a saucer.

Apo in Philippines has The lenticular shapes typically form where stable moist air flows over a mountain. the temperature at the crest of the wave drops to the dew point, moisture in the air may condense to form lenticular clouds. As the moist air moves back down into the trough of the wave, the cloud may evaporate back into vapor. So lenticular clouds can appear and disappear relatively quickly. So there is no connected to the UFO’s or to the Mt. ApoLenticular clouds also formed in non mountainous places.So just enjoy the view.” the netizen explained.
