Actor and politician Senator Bong Revilla gives away 1,500 gadgets for students to be used for online classes.
Due to the pandemic, students from elementary to secondary schools wasn’t able to come to school to study. That’s why the Department of Education (DepEd) moved the school year to August 24 instead of June.
However, due to a lot of adjustments for students and teachers, days after the start of the online class, the government moved the opening of class to October 5. Also, blended learning will be implemented in the delivery of education.
Meanwhile, as the students are preparing for the online class, still a lot of students worry about what to use for the studies. Because a lot of students have no access to online learning as they have no laptops, cellphones, tablets, or any gadget they can use for online access.
With that, Senator Bong Revilla launched a “Kap’s Amazing 1,500 Gadget Giveaway” that aims to give away gadgets to those fortunate students.
Sen. Bong Revilla hosted the Gadget Giveaway through Facebook live. His wife, Bacoor Mayor Lani Mercado, is helping him in his pursuit to give away tablets and cellphones.
Initially, the Senator wanted to give 300 gadgets. It is part of his birthday celebration. You can join through Facebook live on his account.
Undeniably, these tablets and mobile phones are really beneficial most especially for students in their online classes. A lot of parents are having a hard time on how to cope with their finances to be able to buy their children gadgets to at least ease their struggle in getting education.
