U.S Banned Using TikTok App Due to Threat of Security Issue

TikTok was the most downloaded app of 2019 more than any other app in the country by teenagers. According to military report teenagers specially in United States are spending longer time using TikTok that reportedly surpasses the use of Facebook.

TikTok is owned by a Chinese company that includes Chinese communist party members in leadership. And it is required by a Chinese law to share user data to China, which case is considered by the US military as major security risk.

According to the presentation during legislation press conference, TikTok is capable of collecting information everything that runs in the phone which include all the apps you’re using, images that users post, information about the messages that you send, the sites that you visit, search history, keystrokes, location data and store all these to the TikTok application.

TikTok is considered high risk by the United States prompting to ban the use of the app by the US government including the Pentagon, the Department of State, the Department of Homeland Security, Transportation Security Administration. Employees and family members of the US government were not allowed to use the TikTok application.

The U.S. Army also bans TikTok on military devices as it is considered a means of spy communication to transmit signal to China.

The U.S legislation introduces to ban the use of TikTok by all Federal employees and federal government devices as necessary steps to protect the security of United States and the data security of every American.
