A lot of beneficiaries of the Social Amelioration Program are still waiting in line on the last day of the aid distribution on Thursday, for those who are affected by coronavirus disease 2019.
In Manila, some personnel of the barangay, Municipal Social Welfare, and the Development Office took overnight to finish the release of the subsidy on the deadline.
Based on the Twitter photos of GMA News Mai Bermudez, the distribution of cash assistance to all beneficiaries of Barangay 159 was accomplished early morning.
Also in Quezon City, the schedule of releasing of the cash aid is by batches. However, on the last day of distribution, a long line of beneficiaries was building up in Barangay Pasong Tamo.
In addition, in Antipolo City there are also several beneficiaries gathered at the San Roque National High School to claim for the cash aid.
The COVID-19 social amelioration program (SAP) aims to distribute up to P16, 000 for two months to 18 million low-income families nationwide with a budget of P200 billion.
