Senator Sonny Angara is the third senator of the Philippines who tested positive for the coronavirus COVID-19 on Thursday.

Senator Angara said in a statement. “I regret to announce that today, March 26, I received my test result and it is positive for COVID-19,”

According to him, he has been feeling symptoms like mild fever, cough, headaches and general weakness.

He said this and asking for the Filipinos to pray for him.”I have not been in contact with the public since taking the test last March 16,”

“I ask for your prayers that together we are able to pull through this tremendous challenge,” Angara said.

Recalling, there are also two senators that tested positive for the coronavirus. First is, senators Juan Miguel Zubiri and the recent and controversial one is senator Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III.
