The Mayor of Bacolod City Mayor Evelio ‘Bing’ R. Leonardia announced that the classes from elementary to college in both public and private schools in Bacolod City will be suspended. This is effective immediately.
This is per the EO 20 of Mayor Bing that is been issued today, March 14, 2020.
The local government od each city in the Philippines is making a precautionary measure in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the city.
This is to prevent the rising threat of the disease to the health of the students from Bacolod City which leads to the suspension of classes to both private and public schools in all levels until further notice.
The president of Negros Occidental Chapter of the Philippine Pediatric Society, Dr. Annilyn Bergante, M.D has appealed to the city government that on March 14, 2020, immediate cancellation of classes all levels private and public to reduce the risk of students to be infected to he COVID-19 virus.
