Joey Bautista, lead singer of classic pop-rock band Mulatto died due to coronavirus disease, according to his wife Belinda Bagatsing.
Belinda Bagatsing confirmed on her Facebook post that her husband Joey Bautista has passed away on Friday (March 20, 2020). She also revealed that her husband was suffering from a severe case of pneumonia before he dies.
The frontman of the ’90s band Mulatto was tested positive for coronavirus disease. His wife Belinda advised everyone who had been together with the singer for the last 30 days will have to monitor themselves and have a checkup.
Belinda will also undergo quarantine for at least 21 days. Also, Bagatsing denies the claims that Bautista performed in the province of Albay, Bicol last March 11, 2020.
Belinda posted on her Facebook post, “If any of you were around us the last 30 days, please monitor yourselves and get yourself checked if you don’t feel well. I have no symptoms and under quarantine for 21 days. Stay safe everyone,”
Celebrities friends in the showbiz industry of the singer including Vivian Velez and Sunshine Cruz expressed their condolences for their late friend.
