A ranking Police Officer who was involved in a snatching incident during the Nazarene procession was promoted for the second time.
Police who snatched a reporter’s cellphone during the feast of the Black Nazarene also known as the Translacion 2020. Police Brig. Gen. Nolasco Bathan is now promoted to the second-highest position in the capital region.
Bathan who allegedly snatched the GMA reporter Jun Veneracion’s phone who was filming during the time were the Manila traffic and cops and the Parking Bureau personnel were pushing a devotee to the ground during the commotion.
Bathan ordered the reporter to delete the video and said, “Burahin mo, burahin mo. Kuha ni Jun Veneracion.”
Nolasco is the chief of the Southern Police District of Metro Manila supervising cops watching over the cities of Pateros, Taguig, Muntinlupa, Las Piñas, Parañaque, and Makati.
Last week, Bathan has been promoted as the deputy director for operations of the National Capital Regional Police Office. Later on, after a week, he was promoted again one office higher as deputy director for administration.
In one week Police Brig. Gen. Nolasco Bathan has been promoted twice amid the nationwide reshuffle at the Philippine National Police (PNP).
