According to Rappler, South Korea has reported 60 new cases of novel coronavirus on Tuesday, February 25, 2020. As of now, the country has 893 cases according to KCDC (the largest national total anywhere outside China- adding one person had died, taking the toll to 8).

The past three days, KCDC reported a triple-digit increases every morning as the outbreak occurred in South Korea.

Despite the situation, observers say that its health statistics can be treated with confidence, since South Korea has an advanced medical system, a free press, and a strong culture of public accountability.

49 cases are situated in the southern city of Daegu and the neighboring North Gyeongsang province, said KCDC.
