Is it true that ABS-CBN anchor Korina Sanchez is now suspended for a week on TV? As we have noticed her last appearance on TV was on Thursday featuring a special report in Ormoc City. After that Miss Korina is gone from the popular segment on the primetime newscast of ABS-CBN “TV Patrol”.

Rumored on the social media that Miss Sanchez was suspended due to the infamous feud against the international journalist CNN anchor Anderson Cooper in his report on the aftermath of the typhoon Yolanda in Tacloban City.

On the other hand, the alleged reason of Miss Korina’s absence on the segment of ABS-CBN, TV Patrol was that her husband Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas, suggested to take vacation while the issue is getting hotter to the netizens on social media bombarding the Filipina newscaster.

The dispute triggered after Miss Sanchez aired from her radio show “Rated Korina” on DZMM alleging Cooper did not know exactly what he has reported.

Cooper did not tolerate Miss Sanchez to do away his effort of covering the aftermath of typhoon Yolanda in Tacloban. He also challenged Miss Korina to go Tacloban so that she will know exactly then what is happening.

As the controversial issue goes on until today, most Filipino favored Cooper especially on the social media because of his dedication to his reporting career bringing the facts to the people. Cooper also acclaimed the “Bayanihan effort” of Filipinos as a source of strength not only to survive from the calamity but to set as a good example.
