After working on a number of dramatic productions in the past, actress Maja Salvador said that playing a comedy is a refreshing change of scenery for her.
For the past 20 years that Maja has been in the industry, she has been famous for her ability to move her audience to tears, anger, and sympathy. She will, however, provide a fresh taste to the mix by adding comedy.
Her earlier dramedy or drama-comedy series, Niña Niño, in some ways prepared her for her sitcom. Maja acknowledged that, on the other hand, she had to use some new muscles for this genre.
According to the Inquirer report, Maja Salvador remarked during a recent interview, “I wanted to give my whole body a good shake because I felt so stiff. I thought to myself, ‘Eh paano nga ba mag-comedy?”
She said that performing in Niña Niño presented a significant difficulty for her because audiences have drawn attention to her characters’ constant displays of emotion.
Her extroverted personality in front of the camera really enabled her to succeed in this.
Maja recalled asking her director if she appeared stiff or something like on her first day of filming the sitcom.

She said, “I didn’t know you could briefly break character in a sitcom,” and she witnessed how sitcom star Joey Marquez accomplished it.
