When a netizen tried to create controversy by suggesting that he was replacing his partner, Alexa Ilacad, after being spotted in a livestream with his Bagets The Musical co-star Mia Bella, KD Estrada did not hold back.

An anonymous netizen posted a screenshot of Mia’s TikTok broadcast earlier this month on X. The screenshot showed the actress sitting next to KD in the same room, talking with her followers. When the netizen tagged both KD and Alexa and implied that Mia was a “replacement” for Alexa, who is half of the well-liked KDLex love duo, what had seemed to be a lighthearted behind-the-scenes event swiftly descended into controversy.

A netizen wrote, “Ito na pala bago ni @kdestrada_?? @alexailacad kawawang alx 💔”

On February 6, KD addressed the post directly in its comment section, asking why a straightforward exchange with a theater co-star was being turned into a problem and refusing to allow the story to go out of control.

He continued by denouncing the conduct as rude and emphasizing that people who are strangers on the internet have no right to make up stories about their private lives.

The discussion didn’t stop there, either, as another internet user responded by pointing out that some Kaydets, or KD fans, had also made disparaging comments about Alexa and pushing him to address that as well.

KD gave a stern response, stating unequivocally that he will not put up with any kind of internet harassment, no matter who is responsible.

Following his remarks, KD and Alexa supporters showered social media with supportive messages, complimenting him on his ability to maintain composure while sticking his stance.

Months before to the event, KD and Alexa had to respond to internet accusations regarding their relationship. KD denied rumors that they had a falling out back in November, saying that their relationship is still good even when they are not publicly working together.

He also underlined that he and Alexa are both committed to their personal development, with Alexa making weekly appearances on Your Face Sounds Familiar and KD now playing Arnel in Bagets The Musical.

The relationship between KD and Alexa began to take shape during Season 10 of Pinoy Big Brother Kumunity. Through initiatives like the television series Pira-Pirasong Paraiso and the iWantTFC Originals miniseries Run To Me, they have since created the KDLex love team. Both have also made an impression on stage, playing the key roles in PETA’s 2023 musical Walang Aray, which is a contemporary version of the 1898 zarzuela Walang Sugat by Severino Reyes.
