
The Philippines continues to rank among the top K-pop markets on streaming services
Although the viral hit “APT.” by Blackpink’s Rosé and Bruno Mars was the year’s most streamed song, BTS maintained its position as the most streamed K-pop artist worldwide on Spotify in 2025, the music streaming service announced on Friday.
The group’s youngest member, Jungkook, came in at number eight on Spotify’s list of the world’s top K-pop artists for 2025, while the seven-member group maintained their top status from the previous year.
Other members of BTS, including Jimin at No. 11, Jin at No. 13, and J-Hope at No. 18, were also included in the top 20.
Blackpink members Rosé and Jennie came in third and fourth, respectively, after Stray Kids in second.
Lisa came in at number 14, and Blackpink as a group came in at 7th place.
It’s interesting to note that the fictional groups from the animated movie “KPop Demon Hunters” also appeared on the list, with the female trio HUNTR/X at 5 and their competitors Saja Boys at number 20.
K-pop superstar HYBE co-manages the international girl group KATSEYE, which was ranked as a K-pop artist at number 10.

In the meantime, Spotify’s list of the most listened K-pop songs worldwide in 2025 was led by Rosé and Mars’ “APT.,” which also took home Song of the Year at the recent MAMA Awards.
After being released in October 2024 as a pre-release for Rosé’s debut album “Rosie,” which was released in December 2024, the song became viral.
The popular single from “KPop Demon Hunters,” “Golden,” came in second, followed by “Who,” a song by BTS member Jimin from his 2024 album “Muse.”

The lead song from BTS singer Jin’s 2025 EP “Echo,” “Don’t Say You Love Me,” came in fourth, and Blackpink member Jennie’s “Like Jennie” off her critically acclaimed album “Ruby” got fifth.
Apart from “Golden,” three more songs from “KPop Demon Hunters” reached the top 10: “How It’s Done” by HUNTR/X at number nine, and “Your Idol” and “Soda Pop” by the Saja Boys at numbers 6 and 7, respectively.

In 2025, Spotify users watched over 181 billion minutes of K-pop, demonstrating the genre’s ongoing appeal, according to the streamer.
According to Spotify, the United States, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Brazil, Mexico, Thailand, Taiwan, India, and South Korea are among the top markets for K-pop.
