Andrea del Rosario employed the phrase “just in time” when she narrated in Cabinet Files the illness of her 13-year-old daughter, Beatrice, a condition that took an extended period for doctors to diagnose. Expressing her gratitude to God, Andrea highlighted the timely resolution of Beatrice’s illness, leading to her undergoing significant surgery at a Taguig City hospital last week.
Detailing the magnitude of Beatrice’s wound, Andrea likened it to the size of a cesarean operation. She personally attended to Beatrice, canceling all her tapings and TV guestings. Andrea became aware of Beatrice’s health condition during their trip to Argentina, prompting her to seek immediate medical attention upon their return to the Philippines.
Although born in the United States in May 2010, Beatrice has a congenital condition known as jejunal atresia. According to the National Organization of Rare Disorders, jejunal atresia is an uncommon obstruction of the small bowel affecting newborns, wherein patients are born with a complete mechanical blockage of the proximal small intestine.
As a newborn, Beatrice underwent four surgeries to address complications in her small intestine. Discussing Beatrice’s situation during her appearance on “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda” last Wednesday, January 25, 2024, Andrea shared updates on Beatrice, who was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday and is currently on the path to recovery at home.
“Medyo windang pa but she’s doing okay,”
“She has been fighting to be alive ever since she was born, so siyempre I can’t help but be worried.
“But I think I’m a fun, chill mom.” She narrated.
Andrea made the decision to prioritize her responsibilities as a parent over any other obligations or activities when her daughter, Beatrice, faced health challenges and was hospitalized. This demonstrates a strong commitment to her role as a mother, putting the well-being of her child above all else.
Anthony Garcia, Andrea’s partner, played a crucial role in assisting her with the care of Beatrice during this difficult time. Anthony is recognized as the highest-rated polo player in Southeast Asia, showcasing his expertise and success in the sport. The fact that he is actively involved in supporting Andrea and Beatrice reflects a strong sense of partnership and teamwork within their relationship.
It’s noteworthy that Anthony Garcia is identified as the son of Carol Masibay, a socialite and former fashion model. This additional information provides context about Anthony’s background and connections, offering a glimpse into the social circles and influences that may be part of Andrea’s and Anthony’s lives.
Saad ni Andrea, “We’re fine. I consider him as my best friend. We do a lot of things together, even play polo together.
“I’m very very proud of him. I’m grateful, he taught me the sport.
“We do things together. We play the same sport together and he’s an amazing guy.
“I’m happy that I met him because he’s a very good stepdad to Bea.”
“There is news that Andrea and Anthony got married during their recent trip to Argentina, a fact not directly admitted by the actress but hinted at.”
“Let’s put it this way. We had a nice small get-together in Argentina with a few friends and, hopefully, we’ll have one here in the Philippines. It’s really all hints” smilingly said Andrea.
