Junito Bugas, a local radio broadcaster in Negros Oriental, described exactly occurred during the slay on the late Governor Roel Degamo’s compound.

Governor Roel Degamo’s remains were recently brought home, Siaton. According to ABS-CBN News, one among those who came to the Governor’s burial was local radio personality Junito Bugas, a survivor of the Degamo attack.

Bugas recounted the details of the incident. According to a survivor of the Degamo incident, when the men first entered, they assumed they were the Governor’s support. Nevertheless, one of them shot the guard, who ran to the Governor, while the other confronted the guards and another individual who lodged lodged a complaint against them.

Bugas recounted that he shouted at the others to get down to the ground, and they crawled until they stopped on a cliff on the outside of the Governor’s compound. According to the report, he admitted that he is traumatized as a result of what happened and that he can’t sleep at night, so he went to see a doctor. He emphasized that there were kids involved, as well as an elderly woman holding a prescription for medicines.
