The popular hit song’s cover by Lolo Arroyo has received feedback from internet users.
Singing has gained popularity in Filipino culture and tradition over the years. A videoke session is typically a part of any gathering, including holidays, birthday parties, and reunions. It doesn’t matter if the singer can indulge in the song and the mood, even if they aren’t quite as talented as international singers.
It appears that not all Filipinos, though, are talented singers. So why are some individuals so good? It’s likely that some Filipinos were able to improve their singing voices because the majority of families have karaoke machines at home.
The Mayonnaise song “Jopay” recently rose to the top of the online music charts. One of the most recognizable songs in any videoke session is “Jopay.”
After recording his own version of “Jopay” last week, Marlon Paulino Banaag gained attention online. His rendition, though, is a little off in terms of timing and pitch. Many internet users copy his rendition.
A recent video of a senior citizen named Lolo Arroyo singing Jopay during a videoke session was posted on the Facebook page “Malakas.” Online comments are made on the video.
In the video, Lolo Arroyo performed the popular song even though he had no idea how it should be performed and made numerous mistakes. He almost blows his vocal chords, but he still enjoys himself on stage.
The video’s caption reads:
“Panis yang Jopay version Kay lolo Arroy”
