Numerous businesses, associations, and organizations are hosting holiday parties. Everyone wants to take home one of the raffle prizes!

However, how would you feel if the prizes were a cremation urn and formaldehyde?

What happens if the big prize is taken?

The majority of the raffle prizes at the Philippine Mortuary Association’s (PMA) Christmas party were presented in this manner last week.

Even the coffin was put on stage. The Philippine Star reports that they are pricey Batesville caskets, with a range in price from PHP44,000 to PHP2 million.

The PMA is “the top echelon of Philippine mortuary owners and professionals.”

Even though these kinds of prizes are uncommon during the holiday season, they are still useful.

Even the event’s host, Tita Kei, was taken aback by the PMA awards.

Although Tita Kei, 30, has been hosting for more than ten years, he claimed this was his first experience with raffles.

“Actually po, takot po talaga ako sa kabaong, pero dahil ako ang host at kailangan kong i-hype ang mga tao, dedma.

“Pero sobrang sayang experience!” the host stated.

The three-day convention had a Christmas party as its finale. It was held at the Woodlane Events Place in Las Pinas from November 30 to December 2, 2022.

Uncle Kei stated, “It’s a three-day event po. First and second day, more on presentation ng mga kilalang speaker about business, social media, etc.

“Then third day po, ayun na yung Christmas Party.”

When Tita Kei agreed to the hosting position, he had a humorous experience.

He claims: “Nung unang inalok po sa akin itong event, I thought PMA is Philippine Military Academy.

“Then nung nag-meeting na kami, dun ko na nalaman na PMA is Philippine Mortuary Association, and naloka ako kasi may association pala ng mga nasa funeral industry.”
