Julia Barretto’s father expressed his disappointment after Karen Davila failed to interview him.

Julia Barretto was interviewed by Karen Davila on September 15, 2022. She admitted at one point that she needs more fatherly love and protection, which she is “not getting right now” from Padilla, and that she is tired of their cycle of “making up and getting hurt.”

Dennis contacted Davila after watching the interview to express his disappointment at not hearing his side of the story. “Please be fair to all… “You need to interview me,” he wrote in an Instagram post that was later deleted. “Good morning, Dennis… “Just saw this… texted you back just now,” Karen Davila replied to Dennis Padilla.

PEP.ph asked Dennis for a comment two months after the controversy to see if the interview was granted. Karen, he claims, has yet to fulfill her promise to interview him. Karen, he claims, called him before confronting him about his post. Dennis, on the other hand, claimed he only said it to make himself the “kontrabida.”

Karen did promise to give him an interview opportunity. Dennis asked the news anchor if it was okay because she is close to the actor’s ex-wife, Marjorie Barretto.

They decided to conduct the interview immediately following his teleserye’s press conference. Unfortunately, Karen did not follow through on her promise to interview Dennis. “Nag-presscon kami. Following a week, saka niya ako iinterbyuhin. “Hindi naman niya ako binalikan, e.”
