Due to Tropical Depression Typhoon Neneng, certain provinces and districts in the country have imposed class suspensions for Tuesday, Oct. 18. (international name: Nesat).
According to PAGASA report, “ACTIVE TROPICAL CYCLONE OUTSIDE PAR AS OF 3:00 PM TODAY TYPHOON NESAT {2220} (FORMERLY “NENENG”) LOCATION: 495 KM WEST OF LAOAG CITY, ILOCOS NORTE (19.4°N, 116.0°E) MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS: 130 KM/H NEAR THE CENTER GUSTINESS: UP TO 160 KM/H MOVEMENT: SOUTHWESTWARD AT 15 KM/H.”

As reported by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration, Typhoon “Neneng,” which made landfall in Cagayan early Sunday morning, has left the Philippine area of responsibility, although its trough continues to send rain to Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur.
