Selena Gomez revealed that she has COVID-19 and urged the public to stay up to date on their vaccines because COVID-19 is “still out there.”
On Wednesday, Oct. 26, the singer-actress said this while showing herself snuggled up on a couch with a fur blanket covering her on her Instagram Stories. Gomez then assured fans that she is fine and has no serious symptoms.
“I’m not going to be on [‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’] tonight. I ended up getting [COVID-19] but [I] am resting and feeling OK,” she stated.
“A friendly reminder: COVID is still out there. Get updates on your boosters,” she added. “I was actually scheduled to get mine this week.”
Gomez made headlines recently alongside American model Hailey Bieber after the two posed for a photo together at the Academy Museum Gala. Their public exchange came after Hailey denied stealing her husband, Canadian pop star Justin Bieber, from the “Kill Em With Kindness” singer.
For her part, Gomez appeared to have responded to Hailey’s statements at the time by calling out “vile and disgusting” fan comments and reminding them that “words matter.”
