Yesterday Sunday (Manila time), Selena Gomez and Hailey Baldwin Bieber made news after being pictured publicly together for the first time.

The two women attended this year’s Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles, California.

According to photographer Tyrell Hampton’s Instagram page, Gomez and Baldwin were all smiles during the occasion, with one snap even showing them sharing an embrace.

“Plot twist,” Hampton captioned his image, which received hundreds of likes and compliments.

The exchange between Gomez and Baldwin follows the latter’s comments in the “Call Her Daddy” podcast episode in which she addressed allegations that she snatched Justin Bieber from Gomez.

“When he (Justin) and I started hooking up or anything like that, he was never in a relationship.” Ever. “At any moment,” Baldwin was sure.

“It’s not in my nature to interfere with someone else’s relationship… I’m not interested in doing that and I never have been… I can state, period, point blank, I was never with him when he was in a relationship with anyone.” That’s all there is to it,” she continued.

For over a decade, Gomez and Bieber were in an on-again, off-again romance. It was announced in March 2018 that they had chosen to take a hiatus.

It was rumored a few months later that Baldwin and Bieber had reconnected. Bieber and Baldwin married in New York in September 2018.
