The Taguig City Prosecutor’s Office filed a rápe complaint against It’s Showtime presenter Vhong Navarro on the rápe case that model-stylist Deniece Cornejo said occurred in 2014. Vhong Navarro responded to the cáse.

In 2018, the entertainer host’s complaint was dismissed by the Department of Justice (DOJ). Meanwhile, the Court of Appeals (CA) instructed the Taguig prosecutors to bring a case against Vhong in July of this year.

On September 2, claims surfaced that Vhong Navarro had been charged with rápe by the Taguig City Prosecutor’s Office. The noontime program presenter claimed his innocence during an interview with his local network, ABS-CBN.

He claimed that the only fault he committed at the time was cheáting on Tanya Bautista, his girlfriend and current wife. 

“Nilahad ko ‘yong storya ko at ‘yon lahat ang katotohanan,” Vhong stated.

Vhong emphasized the fact that he is innocent of all charges.

The actor-host added, “Ako ay nagsasabi ng totoo at alam ng Panginoon ‘yon na nagsasabi ako ng totoo.”
