Marcus Adoro apologized for the “ruckus” caused by the Eraserheads reunion and addressed his daughter, vocalist Syd Hartha, hoping for a “second opportunity for forgiveness.”

According to a message posted on his Instagram page yesterday, Sept. 26, the former Eraserheads guitarist said he and Hartha have not communicated in years.

“Recently, I’ve tried to reach out to her through her manager, but I’m not sure if my messages are getting through,” he stated. “So, I’m making this post.”

“Syd, sa’n ka man (wherever you are), I hope you’re doing well. As you already know, I’m far from perfect kaya (so it is) normal if you want nothing to do with me,” he stated. “Sana lang magkaroon ng (I just hope to have a) second chance for redemption.”

Adoro then apologized and begged fans to continue supporting the rock band’s impending reunion show.

“I’m sorry for the ruckus that I may have caused my family, the public, the sponsors and my bandmates. Pasensya na (I am sorry),” he stated. “I also want to thank the people who are supporting E-Heads’ art. Please continue to support the E-Heads reunion. Alay po sa ating lahat ito (This is for us all).”

Adoro made no mention of his former spouse, actress Barbara Ruaro, who accused him of domestic assault in 2019 alongside their daughter Hartha. The charges were recently revived as the Eraserheads announced a reunion event called “Huling El Bimbo,” which will feature Adoro.

Meanwhile, former Eraserheads vocalist Ely Buendia and drummer Raymund Marasigan have already come out against Adoro’s domestic abuse charges. Buendia stated that he does not condone abuse and disclosed that one of his criteria for playing with Adoro again was that the guitarist “resolve his difficulties.” For his part, Marasigan expressed hope that the matter between the individuals involved could be handled.
