Actor and director John Prats discusses how his career was impacted by his breakup from Heart Evangelista.

Heart Evangelista, a Kapuso actress, and renowned actor and director John Prats were once a romantic couple, and their on-screen chemistry was beloved back in the day.

The actress revealed that they had previously been “MU” in an earlier story. They remained good friends, but it did not develop into a committed relationship. They experienced puppy love.

It didn’t work out since at one point the actor had a sense of suffocation while with her. Being so young, all he concentrated about was having fun.

Prats recalled everything and then talked about just how their breakup affected his personal and professional life.

As a result, his career weakened following the split. He looked to be avoiding work and initiatives at the moment, and Evangelista’s meteoric rise gave him pause.

“Kasi nakikita mo ‘yung dating love team mo na ang ganda ng career. Tapos ikaw feeling mo walang plano sa ‘yo. Anong gagawin ko to reinvent myself?” Prats stated.

After his time in PBB, he was overwhelmed with projects. The projects kept coming, and it was obvious that this was his second try.

“Feeling ko blessed ako kasi hindi ako nawala. Until nagkaroon ako ng family. Na-realize namin ni Liv (Isabel Oli) na hindi naman enough ‘yung twice a week taping para mabigay mo ‘yung needs ng family mo,” he continued.
