Earlier today, images from an electronic billboard commemorating the former First Lady’s 93rd birthday went viral on social media.
Yap is currently regarded as among the most famous directors in the country.
He’s also a strong supporter of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Vice President Sara Duterte-Carpio.

A LED billboard firm, meanwhile, put 93th on her birthday instead of 93rd. A portrait of Marcos from the film The Kingmaker followed the greeting.
The Kingmaker is a documentary about former first lady Imelda Marcos’s contentious political career.
“Ganitong uri ng kababawan ang taktika nila mula 1986 hanggang ngayon,” director Darryl Yap notes.
“Palalabasin ang mga tulad ng ganito na mula sa kakampi pero may masangsang na motibo,” he continued.
He said that the 93th was chosen on purpose “para magmukhang mangmang ang mga taga-suporta.”
