Despite the negative criticism aimed at her son, Arjo Atayde, veteran actress Sylvia Sanchez is delighted with his political career.

Arjo got into politics this year, and his mother has given him her complete support. During the campaign, Sylvia Sanchez attended many locations in Quezon City’s District 1 on behalf of her son.

Their persistent effort paid off throughout the race, and Arjo won, which makes Sylvia proud.

In an Instagram post, the veteran actress recounted her son’s criticisms.

“Bago ka daw at walang alam at artista lang at kung ano ano pang masasakit na salitang ipinukol sayo. Lahat ng yon napawi habang pinapanood kitang nanunumpa bilang Bagong Congressman ng Distrito uno. Napaka proud ko sa mga oras na yo,” the actress shared.

Sylvia went on to say that she really can not stop thinking about how others criticized her son.

Despite the criticism, the actress stated that Arjo decided to just not respond since his purpose was to serve the people.

Sylvia commented on her son’s political achievement, saying,  “Walang mapagsidlan ang kagalakan ko sa tagumpay mo. Pinaglaban mo ang gusto mo, ang laman ng puso’t isip mo at pinatunayan mong tama ka. Iba ka manindigan anak!!

Sylvia Sanchez also guaranteed Arjo Atayde that she and her husband, Art Atayde, will always be with their son and ready to support him in any form he asks. “Kaka proud!” she stated.
