Rabiya Mateo, Miss Universe Philippines 2020, remains hopeful that the day would come when she will meet and meet her father. That is why she works hard to save money and travels to America in search of her biological father. The Kapuso TV host-actor hopes to track down her Indian-American father, Syed Mohammed Abdullah Moqueet Irfan Hashmi, who is supposed to be in the United States.
“You know what, I really wanna look for him kaya isa rin ‘yun sa goal ko kaya I wanna save money talaga kasi I really wanna go to the US, to Chicago, for him ’cause I know he’s not getting any younger and ayoko magkaroon ng regrets sa buhay ko na I didn’t try,” Rabiya said in the latest episode
“Overall, wala akong bitterness sa heart ko towards him kasi I know kahit masakit, iniwan n’ya kami, may rason siya and actually ‘di ko na kailangan marinig kung ano ‘yung rason na ‘yon.
“Gusto ko lang malaman kung okay siya, safe siya at kung kailanga n’ya ko bilang anak låne penger på dagen uten kredittsjekk, I’m gonna be there to serve him despite na iniwan n’ya ko at saka ‘yung kapatid ko.”
The beauty queen doesn’t even know more about her father, making it difficult for her to trace him even on social media.
I have photos of us but I was still a baby during that time. I have his name, his birthday pero I don’t have the exact address.
“All I know is, what 19 years ago, parang the last time he was in Chicago, Illinois. I have no idea talaga but I know he’s a doctor, ‘yung Mama ko, ‘di pa uso ang ghosting, na-ghost na ‘yung Mama ko,” she continued.
Even after she entered and participated in Miss Universe 2020 in Florida, USA, she received no message concerning her father.
“Nobody messaged me with his name pero, ako in my heart, alam ko na magkikita kami ng dad ko and ‘pag nangyari ‘yon wala talagang bitterness in my heart talagang yayakapin ko lang talaga s’ya and mamahalin ko ‘yung tatay ko nang buong-buo,” stated the Kapuso
“I hope that you are okay, that you are doing very well and if you need somebody, daddy, if you need me, I’m just here,” Rabiya writes to her Indian-American father.
Meanwhile, beginning this morning, July 25, before “Eat Bulaga,” Rabiya will co-host GMA’s new original comedy program “TiktoClock” alongside Pokwang and Kim Atienza.
