Despite the fact that his most recent project is an adaptation of the popular South Korean series Flower of Evil, Kapamilya actor Paulo Avelino confessed that he is not a fan of K-drama.
He was recently questioned if he watches K-dramas because his latest project is a Filipino adaptation of a K-drama, according to the Inquirer report. “K-dramas really aren’t my cup of tea,” Paulo Avelino revealed.
Paulo, on the other hand, revealed that he enjoys watching South Korean movies.
“I watch Korean films more often, like Bong Joon-ho’s The Host or Park Chan-wook’s Oldboy and Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance,” the actor admitted.
The actor further noted that South Korean television series and films are becoming more popular throughout the world as a result of government support for the industry.
He emphasized that the Filipinos may also learn about this topic. Paulo also mentioned how proud South Koreans are of their heritage.
When Paulo’s role featured in the recently advertised series with Lovi Poe and Piolo Pascual as the primary stars, many fans were taken aback.
He admitted that his portrayal of himself in the series’ Filipino adaptation is significantly unlike from who he really is.
