KZ Tandingan, a Kapamilya singer, remembers being rejected for auditions in the past as she celebrates her tenth year in the entertainment business.
KZ began her professional career in 2012 after she auditioned for The X Factor Philippines. Luckily, she got declared the winner, which has totally transformed her career.
According to the story in Bandera, KZ takes a look on her failed auditions after a decade. “Halos lahat pinag-audition-an ko, pero lagi akong nare-reject. So, nu’ng lumabas ‘yung X-Factor parang paso na ko,” KZ Tandingan revealed.
That was the explanation she was first hesitant to attend another audition. Due to the rejections she received, she began to wonder that singing was truly for her.
“Baka I’m not good enough, na baka I’m not better than most to really pursue this career. With the help of my family, with the help of my Dad, nag-decide ako to audition one last time,” the Kapamilya singer remarked.
KZ revealed during her X Factor audition that she needed to take some few examinations before graduating.
She decided to pursue the audition, however she was able to take the examinations later than expected.
“It ended up na right decision to give it one last try, to give my dream and myself another chance, to pursue the stars,” the singer added.
KZ Tandingan is grateful for her family as her original supporter base. Her family was the first one to trust in her potential, and she has always had their support.
Her fan following has grown now that she has a spouse, TJ Monterde, who is also very supportive of her ambitions. “Sila ‘yung mas naniniwala na to never give up ng pangarap kong ito,” KZ emphasized.
