During the campaign, the presidential daughter advocated for mandatory military service for people aged 18 and higher.
People were divided in their responses to Marcos Jr.’s comments. According to News, the Teachers’ Dignity Coalition wants the next education secretary to come from DepEd.
According to the Commission on Elections’ initial and unofficial results, former Senator Bongbong Marcos is leading the presidential race (Comelec). The PPCRV is now manually counting the election returns.
Marcos Jr. leads the presidential election by a large margin over his nearest competitor, Vice President Leni Robredo. According to preliminary and unofficial results, the advantage is more than 16 million votes.
Marcos Jr.’s campaign just declared victory in the 2022 elections, claiming that 98 percent of the ballots have been counted and he leads by 16 million votes.
The standard-bearer of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas has shown thanks to the 31 million Filipinos who voted for him.
Teachers’ Dignity Coalition head Benjo Basas stated that their members are discussing the prospective president’s decision to appoint the expected vice president as education secretary.
Meanwhile, if the case is approved, the teachers’ organization has stated its willingness to participate in discussion.
Duterte-Carpio has yet to remark on becoming Secretary of Education under the Marcos administration.
