The Hollywood couple, Xiam Lim and Kim Chiu, have stated that getting married and starting a family is not one of their top objectives.
They stated that they are discussing their future as life partners, but there will be no engagement or wedding in the foreseeable future. At the virtual mediacon for Xian’s debut teleserye on GMA 7, “False Positive,” about having a kid, we questioned the young guy whether he was motivated to be a husband and father or if he was afraid.
Xian said that he had not yet envisioned himself with a family, but he had a notion of how to be a spouse and the leader of the household. He had no intention of settling down yet, anyway. However, Glaiza de Castro’s leading guy in “False Positive” confessed that she wants to talk issues out before marriage.
Xian stated, “I strongly believe na dapat plantasado lahat ‘yan before pumasok at you take that leap of faith, in having a baby or getting married.
“Dahil baka kasi kapag hindi pa plantsado lahat, I mean, this is just my opinion. Iba-iba naman ang rason ng tao, e.
“But I think na parang, you don’t want na yung mga problema o ganyang hurdles na lumabas, pag once nandun na kayo sa point na yun na magkakagulo kayo, and it might shake up the relationship and it might be a chance na magkahiwalay pa kayo.
“Personally, I don’t want na umabot sa point na yun. But I think dapat plantsado.
“I think, bank accounts, and even how you will settle bills, and even, kanina pa namin sinasabi na spiritually dapat handa kayo na your heart dito, dahil you don’t want na magkaroon ng failed marriage, or even na parang you want what’s best for your kid, dapat na pag-usapan talaga,” Lim explained.
He says of the prenup, “Hindi pa naman namin napapag-usapan. But I guess to share one thing na nadaanan namin, I remember, hindi namin napag-usapan, but out of nowhere, we just brought up yung sinabi ni Steve Harvey na every couple needs to have bank accounts.
“I’m sure some people, may or may not agree na one to pay the bills, one savings for the couple, and one for you and one for her.
“So, I think wala lang… parang I just remember, oh, cool, parang nakita lang namin. I think, entering something na ganun kalaki needs proper planning and mapag-usapan nang maigi,” as Kapuso star expresses.
“Hindi ko naman po nararamdaman. Basta ang kasunduan namin, as long as nagmamahalan kami nang lubos, that’s all that matters.” Kim says when asked whether Kim puts pressure on them when they learn that their friend and fellow actress is engaged, getting married, or has a kid.
