The footage of the event was published by the NYPD Crime Stopper, who urged the public for information regarding the culprit. In the footage, the victim is seen purchasing lunch at the counter when the suspect approaches and threatens him. A customer stands by as the suspect punches and kicks the victim before escaping with his smartphone and cash. The guy was taken to the hospital with bruises and cuts on his face. The NYPD is still looking into whether the two instances were racist attacks.
