Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Train’ premieres in Japanese theaters last Friday, October 16, 2020. Recently, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba Movie Mugen Train becomes number one (1) not only in Japan but in the entire world this past weekend.
According to the reports, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train (Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Ressha-Hen) sold 3,424,930 tickets and generated 4,623,117,450 yen (Over 2 billion pesos) in Japan alone in the past three days, making it the highest-grossing film in the world this past weekend.
The film also sets a new record in Japan after selling over 900,000 tickets and earning 1,268,724,700 yen on its opening day, making Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba – Movie: Mugen Train the largest opening in the history of Japanese cinema.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotōge. It follows Tanjiro Kamado, a young boy who becomes a demon slayer after his family is slaughtered and his younger sister Nezuko is turned into a demon.
People who went to theaters in Japan to watch the film received a Rengoku Volume 0 manga, A special manga which tells the story about Rengoku’s first mission, limited to only 4.5 million copies.
Good news! Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba – Movie: Mugen Train is scheduled to come to the Philippine cinema in February 2021.
