Cebu provincial governor Gwen Garcia caught the attention of the netizen following after her video that goes viral online as she perceives the alleged anomalous connivance between the hospital and the PhilHeath.

On this video published on the Facebook page of CEBU KNOWS, Garcia said she wanted to know the real score of the actual death of covid cases FROM the incidental death counted as covid. The governor cited several incidences took place in the province like vehicular incident. The patient died but it was counted as covid. In some other instances, a man was stabbed to death but finding comes out as covid. Report said, the family questioned the finding of the hospital as they counted it as covid case and covid was the cause of death because they can no longer pursue the case against the criminal if their patient died for covid instead of stabbing incident.

There is also a question for the Dead On Arrival (DOA) to undergo the swab test much more for those patient died with earlier illness history.

According to Garcia, the 3,007 total cases in the province, there are 1,127 active cases, with 55.2% recorded recovery while 221 death tolls.

The 221 death recorded in the province, Garcia wanted to clarify issue by segregating the actual death of the covid cases FROM the incidental covid death cases.

Garcia also mentioned the COVID packages covered by the PhilHealth.

According to the governor, the probable covid cases, Philhealth will cover up to 140,000, for COVID positive 200,000 and for the critical COVID patient 700,000 coverage to be taken over by the PhilHealth.

The governor said, members of the family of the patient normally agree that their patient is to be counted as covid patient because they have nothing to pay but PhilHealth will shoulder all the expenses according to the COVID packages mention above.

Garcia wanted to investigate the real situation linking the hospital and the Philhealth.
