House Deputy Speaker Rodante Marcoleta received criticism for using videos of Kapamilya stars Kim Chiu and Vice Ganda at the ABS-CBN broadcast franchise hearing. This happened on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, when the congressman released Kim’s “Bawal Lumabas” video as part of the opening statement. 

In his closing statement, the Sagip Party List representative released a video of Vice challenging Pastor Apollo Quiboloy to stop traffic on EDSA and “Ang Probinsyano.” 

Meanwhile, Vice has garnered criticism for his “Take the congressman as a joke” tweet for Marcoleta. Instead of showing Marcoleta whether he was insulted by Vice’s statement, he left out positive words for the Kapamilya comedian-TV host. 

“With the avalanche of people’s support to what I believe is right, I wish Vice Ganda well and Godspeed,” Marcoleta said in a statement to Cabinet Files in reaction to Vice’s tweet.
