57th Edition of Binibining Pilipinas coronation night was postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic. The coronation night was supposed to be held on April 26. On May 25, Bb. Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI) announced on public that the coronation will be rescheduled on May 31 however, since the modified enforced community quarantine is still not lifted on Metro Manila, they decided to postpone the event.

“Bb. Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI) supports the government’s quarantine restrictions and efforts to curb the further spread of COVID-19 which has now become a global pandemic.

“BPCI recognizes the pressing and urgent need to protect the health and safety of the candidates, their families and friends, all the passionate pageant supporters, and the general public.

“Mindful of the potential and serious risks, BPCI has decided to postpone the Binibining Pilipinas 2020 Pageant indefinitely.

“Our plans to re-schedule the pageant activities shall depend on guidelines and regulations that will be issued by the government in the coming months.

“Rest assured that BPCI still intends to hold the Pageant with its partners and sponsors as soon as the situation permits, when the threat of transmission and infection is at its minimum.

“Thank you and we sincerely pray for your safety and good health in these trying times.”
