Due to the pandemic novel coronavirus, the enhanced community quarantine has been implemented to contain the spread of the virus and to limit the movements of the residents of the place.
Two residents were caught after violating the enhanced community quarantine after they went out to go fishing due to hunger. The two men were from Sungai Siput, Perak in Malaysia that violated the quarantine orders after they have to go fishing due to hunger.
They were identified as Chen 45-year-old and Zhong 56-year-old. They both lose their jobs without having any savings due to the lockdown as they are just earning below the minimum wage.
Many countries are implementing precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the disease. Also, many countries imposed lockdown and enhanced community quarantine.
However, due to this it causes suspension of works and mass transportation, which made a huge impact to the poor families.
Even though they were afraid that they might get caught, they still decided to go fishing because they need food.
The workers attempted to sneak out at a pond in Rimba Panjang to catch some fish due to starvation but they were caught by the police officers that patrolling in the area.
