Heart Evangelista has donated 500 face shields for the frontliners and posted it on Instagram. The said face shields will be donated to Manila and Sorsogon. Many appreciated her goodwill however, one netizen in particular had criticized her for boosting her ego.

The netizen commented,

“i saw one particular actress from the Philippines who GAVE A LOT and gave a lot of time to SHARE HER blessings to the community but not a single picture of her with all her donations, time and effort.”

“I suggest you reduce those ‘altruism’ pictures of yours because its totally inappropriate—oh well if it UPLIFTS your ego—you are feeding that ego in a pathetic direction.

Heart Evangelista replied to the netizen saying,

“my donations are not out for people to see. These are donations from companies and I post to show them for transparency.”
